Given the EB3 situtation.....most EB3 will convert to EB2 and flood EB2. This is going to happen soon. More money for USCIS.....EB2 will become U
Not in the current economy though. With 10% joblesseness all PERM (whether EB2 or EB3) are highly scrutnized. Forget about PERM even the simple Hi1B stamping is having huge issues.

Just saw my cheque cashed.. I think it got transferred over to TSC. I sent to NSC on Jul 2. And yes i had LUD in my I-140 as 7/28

I think attorneys scare us in using AC21 before I-140. If you have a good attroney she can argue and convince USCIS to approve AC21 before I-140 approval. There can be only 3 reasons of I-140 denial:
- Ability to Pay
- Education
- Experience
Now if you work for a public company, A2P is not an issue. If you have a US degree, or a 4 years degree from outside, educations should not be a concern, unless LC asks for BTech in Comp Sc and you have it in Civil Engg. Laslty on Exp letter, if the only experience you mentioned on LC is the experience for which you have exp letter, you are fine.
Does anyone see anything missing? Come Jan 08, I expect many AC21 with I-140 pending.

This may sound optimistic and promising, but in essence sending random rhetoric using off message statements like "Erase Backlog Now" conflicts with our targeted messaging. To the observer on the Hill (i.e. in Congress) it all sounds more like a noise without a coherent message.
I'm sure you would agree that "no harm in trying" and "Leave no stone unturned" doesn't mean diluting our effort or sending incoherent message. That is why we need to have a single voice sending the same targeted message each time, otherwise we will just sound like awkward noise.

From your knowledge of words it sounds to me that you should get a "PhD" in language or politics or something like that and apply for EB1...Why are you doing EB3???
If we were to buy this weak attempt at making a 'logical point', I would be glad to give Ron a call and have his folks look into YOUR respective EB2 applications and find out if there REALLY was "NO" qualified US worker available for that job. Want to play that game?

Hello All,
Talked to my lawyer today about the checks; they have been encashed for myself and my spouse on 9/4. My RN starts with SRC.
My I-140 was approved from Texas and my AOS/485 was mailed on july 2nd and arrived on july 3rd to NSC.
Just a curious question for those you have already received their RN#. When checking the case status it displays "I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS "...will this message change when EAD has been approved and mailed?

if the only way to reduce the backlog of EB3 is to port to EB2, why EB3 category at all. Just remove that category... Maybe lawyer's should come with a better alternative than giving this lame advice. EB3 category are still employed for the past 10 yrs - shows that they are required-then why not fight to get their number of visas increased or the spill over be applied to them equally as to EB2.

Well, I kind of expected a response to my kind of personal remark in the earlier part of the post than what I wrote later in the message... never mind, that's the human mind.
Don't know about you but I for sure don't rely on just conversing with NGO's or reading news about "atrocities", but actually have involved myself in traveling, teaching and helping institute schools in tribal areas of Jharkhand (Ghatsila-Singhbum), where education had never even reached. The sparkle in their eyes, hospitality and values beats what we find urbanized and modernized world (had the same experience when I visited central Cambodia last month). I also see that casteism is not the same all over in India (a lot less in the west (when I was in Nanded district in Maharashtra) than the north and parts of south) and that it is rapidly changing (compare the caste discrimination 70 years ago with that today, even my active 85 year grandma who has traveled a lot in India, couldn't resist expressing her positive wonderment). The caste discrimination is severe no doubt in certain parts, nor am I trying to water down your experiences - but remember making a blanket statement for 1.2 Billion people demands a lot of explanation!
There is difference working on the ground to make a transformation and witness it from a holistic sense than having a 5 feet level view. Hope you don't take anything personally... but maybe just grasp the gist of my experiences/thoughts.

When possible go to any NGO social service people and ask about caste system and they will give you ample stories which might shatter your belief. What I agreed with the fellow IV member was on a different issue and I acknowledge the fact that things are wrong in each part of the world and every country has its own share of issues. Just like nobody is perfect not every place is perfect. But not acknowledging the fact that something is so widely prevalent in India just shows how far as an individual you are away from reality.

Santosh_gc, I don't have a problem when you talk about illegals getting ahead of legals etc. But the comment about illegal immigrants bringing corruption into the U.S. was way out of line. It is unfair that illegal immigrants may get ahead of legal immigrants. Let us leave it at that and not speculate on how they might introduce corruption into society. No discussions on how they break the law when they enter the country - that is a bogus argument. Just about every one of us breaks the law every time he/she gets behind the wheel of a car, unless you claim you always drive the speed limit.
